I have always cooked, for as long as I can remember. The first competition was a benefit chili cooking challenge, which I actually won. Then is 2004 Byron Peach and myself borrowed a grill and entered a steak competition. We didn’t win but was in the top three. I then contacted Clint Shockey with East Texas Smokers, and between us, we came up with a custom design grill, in which he built and delivered in 2005. At this time, we started Oilfield Mafia LLC and trademarked certain images.
We then started entering all the cooking competitions we could, developing spices that fit our style of taste profiles. We actually went 2 years unbeaten in ribs and won many brisket and steak contest. We also did well in jackpots of beans, deserts, and poppers.
All of this success begin a custom cooking business, including meats, meals, and parties. Weddings, brandings, backyard, holiday, and just about every venue you can imagine all over Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and New Mexico. We have cooked for Heads of State, Congressmen, Senators, Major Company Presidents, and University Presidents.
Fast forward to today, we have developed 5 different rubs for a variety of cooking and one really good sauce for all your cooking needs. And we still custom cook when we can!
